About Solvance

We wanted to know what was helping

A private journal for the meditation you already do, and the promises it keeps about what you write in it.

Why we built it

For years our meditation lived in a dozen places: a timer app, notes on a phone, a notebook by the bed, a streak counter that only knew how many minutes we'd practiced. Each kept its own little record. None could tell us the one thing we wanted to know.

Morning or evening? Twenty minutes or forty? The breath practice, or the one we kept skipping? And did any of it reach the rest of the day? The answers were in there, scattered across apps and half-remembered notes.

So we built the place we wanted: somewhere to log any practice, write a few honest lines afterward, and in time see the patterns in your own sessions. Because those lines are some of the most private things a person writes, they're encrypted, never sold, never used to train anything, and always yours to take with you or delete.

Solvance is small and independent, funded by the people who find it worth paying for, not by advertisers. If something isn't working, or there's something you wish it did, tell us. We read every message.

What we promise

Four promises we keep

  1. What you write is yours

    Your reflections, notes and your name are encrypted before they're stored. Export everything, or delete your account and everything you've put in it, at any time (a few records, like receipts and messages you sent us, are kept for a set time).

  2. No ads, no selling, no training

    Solvance is paid for by the people who choose Advance. We don't sell your data, show you ads, or use what you write to train AI models.

  3. Any practice, any teacher

    Breath, body scan, a guided track, a tradition you've followed for decades. Solvance doesn't tell you how to meditate; it helps you notice what works for you.

  4. Honest numbers, no guilt

    A missed day is a rest day, not a failure. Insights tell you what your own sessions say, how sure they are, and nothing more.
