Consumer health data privacy policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
This notice explains how Solvance handles health-related data for everyone who uses it. If you live in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut, you have the extra rights listed below. It adds to our Privacy policy. Solvance LLC, 418 Broadway, Ste N, Albany, NY 12207, USA, is responsible for this data. Contact: privacy@solvance-app.com or (329) 212-6663.
In short: what you consent to
- What we collect: the health-related data you choose to log: your meditation sessions and how they felt, Daily Log check-ins (sliders such as mood, sleep and stress, day and activity tags such as exercise or alcohol, and notes), what you write in your journal, intentions and Notebook, mindful sessions you import from Apple Health or Health Connect, the Insights we work out from these, and anything about your health you write to us.
- Why: only to run your journal for you: to store it, show it back to you, work out your Insights and send the summaries you turn on. Never for advertising or marketing, and we never sell it.
- Who receives it: only the service providers that run Solvance for us: website hosting (Vercel), our database and file storage (Supabase), email (Resend, for the summaries you turn on; Google, for our support inbox) and our AI provider (Anthropic), for the AI assistant in our support chat (only what you type there) and the AI tools that help us sort our support inbox (what you write to us). The full list is below.
- How to withdraw: at any time in Settings → Data & Account → Withdraw consent, on the website or in the app. "Your rights" below says what happens to data already stored, and how to delete it.
Consumer health data we collect, and why
| What | Why we collect and use it |
|---|---|
| Meditation sessions: practice type, length and time | To keep your practice history and show your own Insights |
| How sessions felt: feeling tags and "profound" marks | To show which practices help you |
| Daily Log check-ins: slider values (such as mood, stress, energy or sleep), day tags, activities (such as exercise or alcohol) and notes | To show how practice shows up in your day |
| Journal reflections, intentions and Notebook notes that describe your health or wellbeing | To store your writing and give it back to you |
| Mindful sessions recorded by other apps in Apple Health or Health Connect, if you import them in our phone app (times and, on iPhone, the app's name) | To add them to your journal |
| Inferences about your wellbeing in your Insights (for example, which practices leave you feeling best) | To show them to you only |
| Totals of your sessions (how many, minutes, days, your streak) in the weekly recap and monthly summary emails; never how sessions felt or anything you wrote | To send you the summaries you receive (you can turn them off in Settings → Notifications) |
| Anything about your health you choose to write in a message to us | To answer you |
We ask for your consent first: when you sign up (or, if you didn't sign up through our form, before you first use Solvance), a box of its own, separate from our Terms, asks you to consent to this, and starts unticked. We keep a record of when you agreed and what you agreed to. After that, you decide what to log: we collect this data only when you log, write, import or connect it, and we use it only to provide the Solvance service you asked for. We don't use it for advertising or marketing, and we don't collect it with geofencing.
Where it comes from
- You, when you log, write or import sessions, or write to us.
- Apple Health or Health Connect on your phone, only if you turn it on and choose to import.
- Our own calculations from your data (Insights).
Who we share it with
We don't sell consumer health data, and we don't share it for advertising. We disclose it only to these service providers, which process it on our behalf under contract, only to run Solvance:
| Category | Provider |
|---|---|
| Database, sign-in and file storage | Supabase |
| Website hosting | Vercel |
| Sending the weekly recap, monthly summary and Year in practice emails you turn on (session totals only). Our product emails (welcome, trial, offer and account notes) use and contain no health data | Resend |
| Our support inbox (only what you write to us) | |
| The AI assistant in our support chat (only what you type there), and AI tools that help us sort our support inbox (what you write to us) and check the service is working (account counts and system logs, never your entries) | Anthropic |
We have no affiliates that receive consumer health data. Only the people who run Solvance, who are bound to keep it confidential, can access it, and only when needed for the purposes above. We may disclose it if the law requires it, and we'll tell you unless we're legally prohibited. No third party collects information about your activity on Solvance over time or across other websites.
Your rights
You can:
- confirm whether we hold your consumer health data and see it (Settings → Data & Account on the website, or ask us);
- get a list of every third party and affiliate we've shared it with, with an email or other contact for each;
- withdraw your consent at any time in Settings → Data & Account, on the website or in the app, or for any part of it by no longer logging it, turning off the summary emails, or disconnecting Apple Health or Health Connect. When you withdraw, we stop collecting and using it: Solvance can't keep your practice log without it, so we ask again before you can carry on, and the recap, summary and Year in practice emails stop. Withdrawing doesn't delete what's already stored: it stays in your account, unused, until you consent again or delete it. To delete it, delete the entries yourself, delete your account, or ask us;
- delete it (Settings → Data & Account → Delete my account, on the website or in the app, or ask us). Deleting your account deletes your consumer health data straight away, and the messages you sent us, including the copies in our support inbox, within 30 days, unless we need one to deal with a dispute or a legal claim you've raised. Our backups clear within 30 days, and we'll tell our service providers to delete it too. We keep only a record of your consent (the date and the words you agreed to, never what you logged) for 3 years, so we can show it was given.
Email privacy@solvance-app.com from your account email, or call (329) 212-6663. We'll respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need up to 45 more. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject line; we'll decide within 45 days and explain why. If you disagree with the result, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint, the Nevada Attorney General at ag.nv.gov, or the Connecticut Attorney General at portal.ct.gov/ag.
We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Changes
We'll tell you in the app and by email at least 14 days before any meaningful change to this notice, and we'll ask for your consent before using consumer health data you've already given us in a new way.
