Accessibility
Last updated October 17, 2026
We want Solvance to work for everyone who meditates, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification, or reduced motion. Our goal is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, for the website and the phone apps.
What we do
- Every page, and the parts a page scan doesn't see (dialogs, open menus, the date picker and the Timer), is checked against WCAG 2.1 A and AA by our automated tests.
- Our custom controls (menus, the date picker, the Timer's duration wheels and tag entry) work with the keyboard alone, and have their own keyboard tests. Dialogs take focus, keep it inside, and hand it back when they close.
- Pages follow your system's reduced-motion setting, and every page is built to work on a phone as well as a computer.
Known limitations
- Automated checks can't judge everything, such as whether a label makes sense out of context. We review those by hand and fix what we find.
- In the date picker, the days from the months before and after are dimmed on purpose and have less contrast than WCAG asks for. They can still be picked, with the keyboard too.
- The light theme is newer than the dark one and has had less checking.
- The phone apps are newer than the website and have had less testing with VoiceOver and TalkBack.
Tell us about a barrier
If anything in Solvance is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us at support@solvance-app.com or through the Contact us page. Say which page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the browser, device or assistive technology you use, if you can. We'll reply by email, and if we can't fix it quickly we'll help you do what you came to do another way.
