For Vipassana meditators after a course

The course ends. The daily practice doesn't have to.

A quiet timer with bells, a few lines after each session, and a streak that allows a rest day. The simplest way to keep meditating at home.

The Solvance Timer: choose a practice, an ambient sound or silence, a length and bells, then start a calm, full-screen session.
A quiet, full-screen timer, with the reflection waiting when you finish. This is a demo account.
Consistency you can see

Morning and evening, kept

  • 7 day streak · 1 rest day used
  • 4/5 days this week
  • You practiced on 6 of the last 7 days. That's a steady week.

Examples of how the Dashboard and Insights read. Yours come from your own sessions.

For the practice you keep

Nothing to learn, nothing to change

  1. Time each session

Choose the length and bells, or silence, and begin. Meditated without the app? Log it afterwards with any date and time.

  2. A few honest lines after

The Body sweep and equanimity template asks only what you noticed: where sensation flowed or felt blocked, and how balanced you stayed.

  3. Consistency without shame

One missed day in seven doesn't break a streak, and the year's heatmap keeps every day you did meditate.

Questions

Asked before starting

Anything else? The Help center has the rest, or ask us.

Does Solvance teach or change the technique?

No. There are no instructions and no guided sessions. It's a timer and a private journal for the practice exactly as you were taught it.

Can I keep it to just the timer and a streak?

Yes. Writing is always optional. Many people just time each session and glance at the heatmap; the notes and Daily Log are there on the days you want them.

Who can read what I write?

You, and no one else using Solvance. What you write is encrypted before it's saved, and we don't sell your data, show you ads, or use your writing to train AI. You can download everything, or delete your account, whenever you like.

How your writing is protected
What does it cost?

Free covers the Timer, Journal, Daily Log, Notebook and Intentions, with up to 5 practice types, feelings and Day tags, and 3 activities, plus the heatmap, streaks and milestones. Advance opens every Insights tab and removes the limits, for $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year, plus tax where it applies. Every new account starts with 14 days of Advance, with no card needed; afterwards you stay on Free unless you choose to upgrade.

Free and Advance: what's included

Solvance isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any Vipassana organization, center or teacher, including those in the tradition of S. N. Goenka (dhamma.org). Courses and instruction come from them; Solvance is only a timer and journal for your own practice.
