An answer, in plain sentences
- Stress is better on days you meditate: 4.8 vs 5.4 on days you don't.
- Stress the next day: 0.5 better after a session than after a rest day.
- Stress two days later: 0.2 better after a session than after a rest day.
Examples from a demo account. Yours come from your own ratings, and they may show no difference at all.
One slider, a few weeks, your answer
Your Stress slider is ready
New accounts start with Mood, Sleep and Stress sliders. No Stress slider in yours? One tap on Insights → Meditation & your day adds it, or add it in Settings → Tags & sliders. It takes a few seconds to rate.
Rate it each evening
Rate the day's stress in the Daily Log, on days you meditate and days you don't. The rest days matter as much: they're what the session days are compared with.
Read the comparison
In about two weeks, Insights compares your days with a session against days without, and the day after a session against the day after a rest day. It says how sure it is.

Will meditation lower my stress?
Nobody can promise that for you in particular, and we won't. Studies on meditation and stress are encouraging but mixed, and they describe groups, not you. Solvance shows what happens in your own log: it might be a difference, no difference, or the opposite. All three are worth knowing.
What the research saysHow do I know it isn't chance?
Each comparison shows how many days are on each side and how sure it is: an Early sign with only a few days, Taking shape as they add up, and a Clear pattern only when the difference is consistent across many days and unlikely to be chance.
How sure Insights isIs this medical advice?
No. Solvance is a meditation journal, not a medical device. Insights describe patterns in your own entries, for you to reflect on; they aren't a diagnosis or a treatment. If something is worrying you, talk to a doctor.
Is this another app with guided meditations?
No. There's no guided library and nothing to follow. Keep your teacher, your app and your tradition; Solvance is the journal beside them that shows you what's working.
Who can read what I write?
You, and no one else using Solvance. What you write is encrypted before it's saved, and we don't sell your data, show you ads, or use your writing to train AI. You can download everything, or delete your account, whenever you like.
How your writing is protectedWhat does it cost?
Rating a slider in the Daily Log is free, for as long as you like. The comparison lives in Insights, which is part of Advance: every new account starts with 14 days of it, no card needed, and that's usually long enough for a first answer. Afterwards it's $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year, plus tax where it applies, or stay on Free and keep logging.
